The day is now over in China, and no announcement related to the Z-Ring was revealed. No announcement at all, rather.
I think everybody can now agree that the chinese riddler was nothing but a fraud. Someone who merely compiled leaks based on other leaks and then put vague hints and lucky guesses here and there for people to find vague connections. He is trying to convince everybody now that the starters are real with the "credibility" he gained so far, but he fucked up today.
It's obvious by now that the starters are also fake. The person who drew them did know about Mallow someone, maybe through a friend who actually works for Nintendo, and took the time to make the leaks and adding Mallow in them to trick everybody. The fact that the fraud riddler "confirmed" them, ironically, debunks them now.
The good news is, people can rejoice now, as the starters actually have a chance to be good.
