Not so long ago I started a thread about how Nintendo used to give you the event-items if you sent them the cartridges.
Now I found this here:
https://www.nintendo.it/Notizie/2009/Pokemon-fan-un-nuovo-indirizzo-per-Nintendo-Italia--260440.html
Nintendo Italy is still giving away those items for the European/Australian GBA games in 2016. However, it is not possible for foreigners to take advantage of this service because Nintendo Italy only sends packages within Italy itself.
Even with Italian relatives this isn't very handy because packages and letters getting lost is waaaaaay too common.
So i decided to write an e-mail to Nintendo Germany with a link to the Italian article above.
They told me to contact Nintendo Italy (which I already did, to be sure. They just gave me the same answer, that I had to have an address in Italy.) because they aren't _currently_ providing such a service.
Nintendo should def. provide this service globally or at least somehow make it that foreigners can take advantage of this.
