Pokebucks are based on Jap currency, so it's more like a bike costs $10,000.

Which seems like a lot until you realize all the best mining sites are probably full of Pokemon.

Considering that the Pokedollar is pretty much initially based off of the yen, we can consider the idea that 1,000,000 Pokedollars would be an equivalent to a little less than $10,000 if we convert yen into dollars.

Still rather expensive for some bikes.
