A few days ago I made a thread about GLORIOUS PASS in Anything Goes and after experimenting I just can't find a way to break through it, even using bullshit like Evasion Pass. If they lead with Mega Rayquaza you lose, if they get up any sort of hazard you're in for a bad time.
So I've decided to give up the Anything Goes route and try to work in Ubers. Differences from AG in regards to a BP team are:
-No Mega Rayquaza
-Species Clause
-Evasion Clause
-Sleep Clause
The obvious first step was to have a means of not immediately losing to THE King of Ubers, Primal Groudon. I decided to put 80 Speed EVs and a Jolly nature into Scolipede as that outspeeds Jolly max speed Primal Groudon. Strategy is to Sub on the first turn that Primal Groudon is out if they lead with it, so if they try to be cheeky and Rock Polish, I can be at an advantage.
I needed something to pass into to continue the chain that wouldn't immediately die if P-Don is out. Smeargle technically could work, but all it can do is Spore it, and Lava Plume's 30% burn rate says otherwise. Something that's immune to Ground-type attacks and can take on Fire attacks as well and there's only one Pokemon that fits the bill.
That's right, I'm using motherfucking Solrock in Ubers.
Solrock can set up Screens, use Calm Mind, Iron Defense, and Baton Pass without any conflicts. It learns Baton Pass from a super obscure event (I think it's XD Gale of Darkness or something), so this is a blessing I will not take for granted. 252 HP / 200 Def / 52 SpD and a Bold nature means that Solrock cannot be 2HKOd by neither Lava Plume nor Fire Punch from a Groudon with maximum Attack or Special Attack investment. It can set up a CM or two and then Baton Pass into Vaporeon to Acid Armor or anything else depending on the situation.
I've also replaced Mr. Mime with Mew as it is quite bulkier than Mr. Mime, though I might change it back as it would be nice to have a Dragon resist.
Thoughts on BP in Ubers? Any tips?
