I'd like it more if it existed in addition to gen 5's system of scaling XP to level.
We know that system returns in SM so I won't be upset if the XY system for the Share returns, honestly.

in gen 5, the XP you got depended on your level and your opponent's
If you had a lower level, you got bonus XP. if you were the same, you got the normal XP, if your level was higher, you got less.
This system would greatly reduce the over leveling that the XY Share caused.

Leveling to 100 in post-game is slow enough as it is. I'd rather not be punished for wanting to level my 'mons to the limit.

Gen 5 was also the first game I got a pokemon on my team to level 100 without fighting the E4 over and over.
This happened in Black 2, for the record.

Honestly is there a reason to level Pokemon past 50 besides for certain moves? Even the some end game trainers don't max out save for Red, Cynthia

This. I fucking loved the Tower/Treehollow. Hands down best post game because your in game team stays relevant. I actually bothered to get good movesets and it was still rough.

EXP share is probably the reason why I can finish Pokemon games faster, which is good because I d not miss those days where I'm 5-6 badges in and still on an ass of a grind.

I'm sure there are fans who are quick to say fans like me are the reason Masuda pulls punches, but Pokemon games are not difficult by design to begin with. Grinding is not difficult, it's tedious and the whole idea is getting more people to play online if anything.

Yeah, during the E3 demo, people did the calcs and noticed that the XP popplio was getting was consisted with BW's system, rather than the usual system.

I used it in X since it helped with the early game grinding you always need to do. I turned if off around the second gym though as I felt like it was starting to overlevel my pokemon.

my first level 100 was in RBY, but that's because I kept trading the same Alakazam back in every time I reached the elite four. eventually it reached level 100.
my Glaceon in Black 2 was the first one that got there naturally with no E4 grinding or trading.

It not simply that its bad its that the game doesn't scale the challenge. In X&Y no one has full teams, no rivals or gym leaders when its plenty reasonable for them to have em.
