Wouldn't be surprised if they added that whole poke flute subplot just for the sake of genwun pandering. It never goes anywhere and you achieve nothing with it, there aren't even trainers to fight, that whole thing is stupid.

Not every location needs to be a Castelia City, Pokémon Leaugue or Battle Frontier. Some places exist just to explore, having fun or, you know, help to construct a credible and fantastic world?
