I feel like they started off with Klinklang to show off the animated sprites. Then they figured it should have a prevo with less moving parts so they came up with Klink. Then they decided to lazily add samefag designs like Klang, the genies, and the elemental monkeys just so they could tout BW having the largest new amount of new Pokemon.
