I'm really curious and I don't seem to find many direct answers to it, so I'll just ask it bluntly
Why do you guys like pokemon black and white 2? I would like to know what you guys have to say and what parts you liked about it

The region is really nice and theres great variety in Pokemon in every route, PWT was great, Subway was comfy af, Join Avenue was cool and helpful, characters were all enjoyable, music was great, and most importantly, revisiting a modified version of a past region and seeing all the changes to it and travelling through the cities and routes in a new order was really awesome.

The Pokedex was the perfect balance of a good variety without overloading like XY did. While you could always find an old favorite, you could also easily find a current gen pokemon.

The postgame is perhaps the best in the series. While it lacks a frontier, the PWT is the best non-frontier facility, and there was plenty of exploration, finally being topped off with the tower/tree
Next, Challenge Mode. While sure Challenge Mode is still not very hard, it is by far the hardest you'll find the official games.
The pace is also the best in the series.

Well, besides what >>28860961 said I would add pokéstar studios which I found was a nice concept and wish it had been expanded upon on later gens. And I have to emphasize the music, it really was the best out of any pokémon game imo. All the little sidequests/easter eggs also contributed to the charm.

I played it before playing BW. What I primarily loved about it off the top of my head was

BW2 felt like that game where they actually tried to stuff as much content into it as possible. It rarely felt like it was missing something. It's one of the few pokemon games where I feel like it was made with love and care. There are just so many little things to it that add up to the big picture. I remember there was a sidequest thread a while back and a lot of the posts were from BW2.

Amazing post game. Only Emerald's can compete.
Made Team Plasma a bit better overall. Still had shit sprites though. Also many new Pokemon.

Drop this meme. All Emerald had was the Frontier. HGSS, Platinum and even DP and BW had more post-game content.

Nothing you listed had better post game.
The only thing that comes close is Platinum and that's with including the event items.

I don't like it as much as the first two, but I do still enjoy it a lot. I like the character designs, and I like Team Plasma as an evil team, especially with the split off, even if the story there was limited. It was also nice to see the other characters moving on with their lives and changing, something we don't get a lot in Pokemon. I really enjoyed how the level scaling went, especially with a strong post game to work with. The Champion being Iris is kinda..eeehhh....But Her team was okay and her theme is nice. The music! I really like the music as well. Especially the team plasma remix, and Colress's theme. Colress too, I think it's cool they have a character who more rides the true neutral line, rather than just evil, good, or edgy anti hero. Gen 5 is my favorite gen overall, as it really brought me back to playing Pokemon on a regular basis.
