-Word play, similar to how the name Pokémon to begin with, usually involving the animal it's based on or something characteristic of the pokémon (like my Venusaur called Toxodeus, as in toxic + Deus).
-Common words in English or other languages (like my Aggron named Alloy or my Tyrantrum named Sovranità, sovereignty in Italian).
-Names of important figures, objects or phenomena (like my Aegislash named Tizona, El Cid's sword, or my Dragalge named Marea Roja, red tide in Spanish).
