Seriously, compared to anything in BW and DP, outside of the movies, there is a clear improvement animation wise, and nice tricks to show movement vs the background(wich in several scenes is actually reactive to the characters on screen) something most animation in the West are ignoring bar some notable exceptions as most are just a bunch of idiots sliding stuff on a background(Seriously fuck you SU lazy ass animators,would it kill them to try and keep shadows or consistent sizes vs the background for more than 2 cuts).
It's OK to fear change, even if we know that the technique is easy on the animation crew, the parts that they showed us are actually mediocre in quality and are such a big jump when compared to the previous installment of the series that it might as well look like another studio change(even if it was always OLM it gives this impression).
Detractors from Alolan Ash and its animation got a legitimate point in being rattled over this changes.
