I busted my circle pad playing smash, what should I do /vp/?

Put the money in for a new 3DS or suck it up and have a busted circle pad until the NX?

Same thing happened to me with Mario Kart, then I eventually just broke the rest and left the small piece which is still usable and I'm used to it now.

You can also just buy a replacement if you have the balls to do it, but it'll probably just break again. This shit is too fragile for Smash.

How did you even break the black plastic part of the pad? The gray rubber pad on mine came off after playing Smash 3DS a lot and I just stuck one of these furniture cushioned pads over it as a temporary measure, but it worked really well surprisingly. Been using the same pad for almost a year now, didn't even it would last this long.

Not really. The guide's fucking retarded. The circle pad enclosure has a slit you can pull it off. You really only need to take off the back cover and unscrew the analog piece. Which is up to step 9.

OP here, I use the 3DS as a controller for smash on the Wii U. My roommate uses the gamepad and I'm not about to use a fucking wiimote for smash

Have to mention, the guy removes the back cover's ribbon cables, but you don't need to do that. Leave them ther connected, just remove the circle pad's ribbon cable.
