Late 2010 started that shit with Mannco, but at least it was at a slower pace before it really ramped up with The Uber Update. Microtransactions killed that game as Valve became more Jewy with its practices on top of the fact that the first small batch of community weapons in early 2010 screwed up equal item distribution. They should have just completed the Engineer update and left it at that desu.
