Hey /vp/, what's your HeartGold SoulSilver team? I'm restarting with pic related and I'm curious on what you guys use since I haven't played in a while

In order of caught:
-Typhlosion
-Ampharos
-Heracross
-Cloyster
-Skarmory
-Blissey

This team is a recreation of my Stadium 2 team, I use it on Battle Frontier and all great on their jobs, but Cloyster is the most flawed one due to abysmal SpD and no reliable Physical STAB. (Icicle Spear is 10 BP in Gen 4 and EVEN after STAB is does 33% damage)

Lots of people are going to suggest Ampharos and Quagsire etc. and those guys are cool but I highly recommend picking up a few of the under appreciated single stages of Johto. I tried a team of only mons I've never used last time and it ended up being one of my all time favorite teams.

I've played through it several times. The 'core' team though is something like

Typhlosion
Furret (HM bitch)
Crobat
Ampharos
Quagsire
Heracross

Keep in mind that stone evos are kind of a bitch to work around in Johto despite there being a lot of stone evo pokemon available, you need to play minigames at the dome to get stones. If you're willing to do those, you can get Nidoking, Exeggutor, Arcanine, Poliwrath and a number of other solid pokemon somewhat early in the game. I'm also highly partial to Lanturn if you want a different water type.

They're not really under appreciated, they're not as easy to use. It's like with Meganium, it's not a HORRIBLE pokemon ingame, but it's frankly dogshit to play with compared to gatr or typhlosion

I'm in the same boat, I have a Surfing Raichu from the Yellow Forest event with the Pokewalker. So I don't feel like losing it, but I also feel like starting over because grinding post-game is just no fun.

My team in my last run of HGSS was Typhlosion, Azumarill, Sunflora, Skarmory, Ursaring, Yanmega. Wasn't crazy about Typhlosion or Yanmega but it filled the gap.

Last run before that was Feraligatr, Sunflora, Granbull, Xatu, Umbreon, and I can't remember the last one. But it was a Pokemon from 152~251.

With plans for Tyranitar and Xatu.
I spent today getting Raikou, and the last thing on my list is Larvitar in the safari zone. I might swap Xatu out with a Skarmory and replace Typhlosion when I go to Kanto.

Mine wasn't too interesting but here goes:

Gyarados, Dragonite (from Game corner's Dratini), Togekiss, Heracross, Gengar, and Meganium.

Meganium was pretty shit compared to the other mons, but I didn't use it much anyways.
