The first sneasel I used in Emerald IIRC was named Sneez so I've just carried that on. I have like 4 different EV trained non-shiny weaviles and they're all named that since I never use them at the same time (they're also related since I tend to breed a new one when a new gen comes out and it gets new egg moves).

No i dont think it would be OP weavile is frail as shit and needs a focus band half the time to live.
Charizard x gets an op ability and dragon dance still OU.
Weavile would stay in OU with tough claws.
If weavile got a " mega" with tough claws plus some bulk to live a couple of hits maybe it would be OP.
If they changed its hidden ability to tough claws it would just be better than pickpocket.

Weavile is frail, yes but it's also fast enough and hits hard enough to work around it's frailty as long as you keep it away from priority. Yes, charizard X gets D-Dance and tough claws, but Weavile can hold a life orb, gets two forms of priority (Ice shard and Fake out) and plenty of moves to take advantage of the huge boost Tough claws provides (Ice punch and Low kick come to mind.) While I doubt Tough claws would bring it straight to Ubers, It would probably boost it to A/S rank OU

I figured as much. Its just pressure is given to everything and i find it boring as it doesnt do anything but waste pp.
Which hardly matters in a fight anyway unless stalling. And weavile cant stall for shit.

Another question ice punch or icicle crash for damage?
Ice punch is reliable for what it is and can freeze. Yet crash can cause flinch but that doesnt happen always.

I roll with Icicle Crash, and that flinch has won me several games. It's a 30% chance, and while it doesn't happen half the time, it's very strong and you won't be wasting a turn.

True knock off is great but i hate it when they switch into something with a mega stone that shit should be able to be knocked.
I also use poiaon jab for coverage but if im feeling lucky replace it for low kick

I was ina weavile mirror match at some point on showdown and when it came down to it i wasnt using icicle crash while my oppenent was and he got the flinch on mine. Several times!
I then low kicked him and i was really Lucky cause he was using life orb and died.
But in another mirror match i was using life orb and got one shot by lowkick because he won the speed tie.

Poison Jab isn't a terrible coverage move. Low kick is super important for dealing with T-Tar though. Standard is Crash/Knock Off/Low Kick and then either ice shard or poison jab.

In doubles, fake out and feint are also good options, in fact fake out is basically mandatory because Weavile's big selling point in doubles is the fastest fake out in VGC.

Another set that I think is extremely funny to use is Psych up, you switch crash for ice shard and use psych up in the last slot. Switch in to whatever dragon you need to deal with, psych up to steal their boosts then kill them and countersweep. Unfortunately you can't do it to Tyranitar due to sand but all of the other pseudos get destroyed by Weavile with any attack boosts.
