It's an ability like Zygarde'/ Swarm Change. The ability lets them change forms, and that's it.
If Battle Bond says, "Greninja can transform to Ash-Greninja if one opponent Pokémon is defeated," what makes you think Battle Bond can then have a completely different effect after the change?
