There are only three known universes with branching timelines depending on game version. Ash may or may not exist in them. The anime and games are still separate canonically. The protagonist stopped Magma and Aqua, not Ash. The protagonist stopped Galactic, not Ash. The protagonist stopped Plasma, not Ash. The protagonist stopped Flare, not Ash. Ash is not the main character or even A main character. This is the protagonist's story, not his.
You get his Greninja that can change its form with its unique ability and that's it. Maybe you meet him once. Probably not since Ash-Greninja is only found in the demo and must be transferred to the main game. Who knows.

Why must Ashnimefags be so delusional? Even Specialfags know that it's a completely seperate canon despite featuring the game protagonists.

Still no proof that SM are in a completely different universe, and as long as they're in the previously established Mega Evolution universe, the protagonists only interacted with each other and we're the only ones to fight the evil teams, and Ash was nowhere to be seen. The first timeline is Gen 1 and Gen 2.
The second timeline swaps them out with FRLG and HGSS and then contains Gens 4 and 5.
The third timeline features Mega Evolution and contains ORAS, XY and SM, but also features some of the same events as the previous timelines, evidenced by references to Team Plasma, the Royal Unova, and Blue.

So gameverse Ash didn't stop do the heroics of the game protags, but might have fought some villainous teams in his travels. He befriended certain characters, but likely didn't travel with him. And he always lost at the League.

Yeah you're probably right.
Generation 6 was just so disappointing overall. I want more world building on the BW/B2W2 story and the loose ends from generation 4

I really wanted to see the Shinto ruins region.
Really disappointed 7 years have passed and we've still not seen it
