Dart means Dart
Strix means Owl in Latin I think because it's in a lot of Owl's scientific names

Cat means cat obviously

Torrere is latin for scortch. So toast in Portuguese is "torrada" that would mean scorched

I believe Torracat's name comes from the Portuguese words "torra" (burn) or "torrar" (to roast.)

Brionne reminds me of Phione, which derives its name from the clione (aka sea angels.) I doubt this is true, since clione are sea slugs, but Bulbapedia says that clione are very popular in Japan.
