they were a terrible decision and severely unbalanced the game
rather than believing they would, it was a desire they would to help reign in the atrocious power creep gamefreak unleashed

shitmons with 2 phases could've gotten proper 3rd evos
top tier mons like Garchomp and Salamence should never have been touched again

The fact that they've been so mum on megas is, if anything, proof they weren't that well received and aren't considered a sales booster.
