>>28953985That's fair. I understand finding some of the fifth generation Pokemon to be stale because of that, since there are a lot of comparisons to be drawn (Munna and Drowzee for example). I think a lot of that is down to personal taste though. Generation five has many of my favourite Pokemon, which obviously contributes to why it is my favourite generation, but if you don't like them then that's obviously going to hinder that. I feel like a lot of the second generation Pokemon were poorly utilised in the games they were released in, made difficult to find or awkward to use, which means those games fall rather low in my overall ratings.
Generation five had that too, remember, returning to Unova two years after BW1 in BW2 just like you returned to Kanto two years after RBY in GSC. I always thought that was nice, especially with all of the changes that they included which made Unova feel familiar but still fresh. I understand enjoying that feature, but I always found Unova more interesting than Kanto.
