That's why traditionally having rapid spin was so important for stall teams while offensive teams seldom carried a spinner. Now that everything with wings gets defog though, you can't keep entry hazards up.
A combination of defog being so widely distributed and Smogon banning every major offensive threat is what causes this shit.
