Yes, it's a bagworm, but it's meant to just look like a pinecone. Honestly it makes it one of best object Pokemon, as it isn't just what it appears to be.

Even if Pineco's primary basis is a pinecone, that doesn't really make it more of an object-based Pokémon than, for example, Sunkern or Jumpluff. You want a real example of an object Pokémon for gen 2, how about this punching bag?
