>Be girl
>Happened to have some feminine starters along time although I usually don't mind the tough looking starters, Meganium was a bro regardless of it all, just a dino with a flower in it
>Snivy line never looked all that female to me either and I could definitely see it as both genders
>Same for the Fennekin line, even though Braixen's fur looks slightly like a skirt
>So what are we going to choose as the feminine starter this generation?
>Probably the sea lion
>Oooh, that's a great choice and what will you do about its designs
>Just slap frills in it oh and don't forget eyelashes, this time, we're putting in eyelashes even though we've never done that before
>Also, its final evolution will be a mermaid pop idol, the little girls will love that
>B-but what about the male gendered Popplios?
>Boys can be cute too
It's okay, but kind of lazy. Feels like they didn't even care about making it look neutral. I can understand people being mad about it. The pink iris feels unnecessary too, unless it was just put there to make it even more obvious that it'll turn into a part Fairy type.
Maybe that's why it's so feminine looking, the fact that it'll become part Fairy type. So don't have your heads turning over this, just pick something else if the design troubles you that much.
Not like I'll be bothering with this line too, maybe Popplio, but never evolving it. A first form playthrough seems interesting. Maybe I'll venture through the known pokemon again to see if something else sparks my interest because I'm not exactly thrilled over the idea of having a bleached Barbie in my team.
