Dead end shit mons like Charizard, Beedrill, and Pidgeot got a new lease in life and are suddenly threatening monsters....which is something nobody ever saw coming.
The game was getting stale after 2 gens of weather and this was exactly the kind of change it needed to keep things fresh.
I couldn't care less how against change people are in this franchise....it needs to evolve, for better or for worse, and taking out the most groundbreaking change since the physical/special split would be a huge step backwards.
I look forward to future megas with eager anticipation.
