I can't decide a nickname for the starters until I know their final evos

I don't know why, but I like nicknaming my Snorlax, Gunnar for some reason.

I remember for BW2 I named my samurott Jack after Samurai Jack because I thought I was a clever little shit. But for X and Y I had a slightly more clever naming scheme.

I was going for Chespin and Charmander for my game because my friends were going for the other ones. I was still thinking of nicknames at the time and read on TV Tropes that Charizard Y wasn't a Dragon type because it was a winged Tyrannosaurous Rex. Completely forget why it was one, but it sounded good at the time.

Now, we cut to a show by the name of Generator Rex. Pretty good show, all things considered. In it, obviously was a guy named Rex. His brother showed up a bit later, his name was Cesar. And that's when it hit me.

I named my Chespin Cesar because of cesar salads and I named Charmander Rex because winged Tyrannosaurous Rexs. This worked twofold, because I named them after a set of brothers.

I have to find the perfect name or I get itchy. Normally, I figure which letter the name should start with, and then, and this is really autistic, I go to babynames.com

When I do find the perfect name, I'll name that pokemon that name forever. So far, I've got a small list of names;

Feraligatr-Franky
Sylveon-Pepper
Crobat-Joey(After Joey from yugioh, because he's such a bro but gets a lot of flack. Not the best name, but it's been years and I can't stop)
Pidgeot-Elliot
Emboar-Hunk
Golurk-Morag

Like I said, it's a small list.
