This works well mostly because of its mixed offenses and access to high BP moves/support moves, I was thinking of giving him dancer at first but honestly adaptability crab and wood hammer are way to crazy to ignore along with the less powerful scald and gigadrain if people want to run those.
It also has priority in focus punch and reliable recovery/support options to make maractus interesting.
Adaptability is there because cactus are very resilient and can ingrain themselves on almost all terrain.
