The dragon reminds me as much of a thorn maze or Sleeping Beauty as it reminds me of a dragon. This has the most potential in the group.
The horse is ugly, almost Keldeo-tier ugly. Could maybe be saved with a re-design, I don't hate the concept of it.
The princesswan is the best 1st stage starter, and shows lots of potential.
Row 2:
The elephant is sort of basic-looking. I have no strong feelings toward it. If it follows the god it's based on, it would go bipedal I'm assuming. Not a fan.
The snake is also very basic, but has more potential since there are a lot of snakes with interesting traits to draw inspiration from whereas the elephant is (for now) just an elephant.
The cow is mediocre, and I dislike its eyes.
Row 3:
The trojan horse is pretty clever, it's not immediately obvious that it's not just any old horse (the seam on its body gives it away).
I'm not sure where it would go from there with the evolutions, though.
The cow doesn't get its design across at all. It's supposed to be based on greek fire, right? But it looks more like a factory.
I love the snake, but my bias for picking water starters might be affecting my judgement.
Overall 3 >= 1 > 2
