Was episode 5 of Generations the first time they confirmed Silver is Giovanni 's son? I remember the games hinted at it but that was just one line about Silver having the same hair color as Giovanni's son.

So it's been hinted at in FR/LG with the red hair line. Generations was the first time it's been out right confirmed in the English version of the game (if Generations counts as game canon) because they for some reason removed those lines from HG/SS during translation.
