If a blind person has sighted friends who like pokemon, talking about pokemon could be something they enjoy doing. Blind people could even, with the right software, 'read' up on builds, stats, and teams, and compose a team to have a sighted friend build for them, have that sighted friend help direct them through the menus, and try their team out against their other friends. Blind people can do sighted-oriented communal stuff, it just takes adaptation and patience.
