>>29029496I think the pancakes thing comes from the fact that Alolan Raichu kinda does look like a pancake. The skin is golden brown, the hands and feet are like dollops of cream, and the ears and tail look like butter.
But I still don't really like the fact that there's no real reason behind Raichu's adaptation. Probably because it's the most nonsensical regional form transition.
