Yokai Watch.
Noko actually looks like a fucking snake and actually does something related to the legend.
As someone who went through both games off of lost bets; it's one of few things that game did better than Pokemon.

Honestly, Dunsparce being rare and spoken as only rumor among cave trainers ingame caught the appeal of tsuchinoko. Despite designed a bit differently than source legend, it can learn Roost because of its wings, and that is pretty awesome.

Yokai Watch version seemed to add nothing much to the source legend.

Dunsparce is more appealing. Noko is closer to the original monster.

Yokai did a more direct interpretation.
Pokemon was more imaginative. I like this guy more than most YW monsters, but Dunsparce (one of my least favourite Pokemon designs) still beats it.
