I really hope the "leak" that it gets split between gen 3 and gen 4 frontier is false. Though it had some merit, gen 4 battle frontier simply isn't as iconic because it was copy-pasted in hg/ss.

That said though, there's nothing i want more than an exact 1:1 copy of the emerald frontier. If it gets confirmed that all 7 of the original facilities are coming back, i will personally travel to the closest "victory road" in my country and steal the road sign.

well what i'm trying to get at is over-use kinda ruins the appeal. if gamefreak truly wanted the BF to be appreciated they wouldn't slap it on like it was nothing.

same reason why the maison is absolute gutter trash. pointless filler content not unique to any particular region. gameplay mechanics and design choices are meant to be unique so that they can be appreciated more.

take the pokemon world tournament for example. though it's literally just another boring battle tower grind-fest, it did it's own thing with all the cameos and people loved it!

Seems pretty clear that most, if not everything said in those interviews was to try and cover up the fact they rushed ORAS.
Or they possibly saw massive backlash to their decisions, but I honestly feel with gamefreak, the former is more likely.
