>>29072162Alright. The main thing is that I pay a lot of attention to how the names sound, simply put some syllables and consonants sound better than others and are associated with different things. A syllables are my favourite, o is generally something that feels strong, it's hard to explain. Oh, and I fucking hate overused names, their value is diminished because of how often they're mis/used.
Greek and Norse pantheons especially.
>SanagiFrom Kusanagi no tsurigi, supposedly a sword from Amaterasu that the Japanese imperial line holds as proof they're her descendants. I thought it fit well with a royal sword pokemon.
>FloydFrom pink floyd, their music has a very ethereal feel to it, like floating in water. Greninja's my favourite mon so I struggled for a while until I thought of this.
>EileenEileen the crow from Bloodborne but Eileen also has a very docile feel to it, like a pet sparrow.
>NadjaFrom a book about a man who falls in love with a woman by that name but can never find her. Had a very fairy feel to it.
>RossoPorco Rosso
>LumiereFrom luminous, and it has a regal feel.
>AtlasEarth titan, and Swampert is a ground type and strong as fuck.
>OdetteSwan Lake and feels elegant.
>AikaJapanese and cute and Ninetales is a kitsune, but more cunning than cute. Which is also cute.
>MendelFirst I named my brelooms Campbell , then I realised Mendel sounded better and was the name of a monk (connected with pugilism) that grew lots of plants.
>TronBoring name, but sufficiently robotic.
>FritzFritz the cat, and cats aren't hard to name
>PopplioA yokai watch yokai
>FeynmanA scientist known for works on electrodynamics, and sounded sophisticated.
>RylaiDota
>SamyazaA demon known for fucking human women, it sounded nice, otherworldly and added an extra layer of humour to "literally my mom's x"
