My first Pokemon game was Blue when I was 5. Gen 4 is actually one of my least favorite generations (favorite is either 3 or 5). Pokemon quality isn't really a huge factor for me when judging a game considering how many Pokemon from previous gens are usually included, I prefer to go off how much I enjoyed the region itself. That being sad I also think Sinnoh has pretty bad designs overall but there are a select few that I really like.
