>>29076723>Well now he'll pick the pick that is weaker than yours, making it easier than ever to squash your rival into a thin gooey paste. The GameXplain reviewer mentioned that as the two hour demo progressed he felt like Hau was less of a rival and more like some random person that decided to tag along. We don't actually know if he's going to be our rival or just a friend.
>Also, the game alerts you to whether a trainer is going to pounce on you for a battle,I don't see how this is "lessening" the game's difficulty. When our pokemon were on low health we avoided NPCs altogheter because it was a matter of chance finding out if they were trainers or not. Having an indicator beforehand is actually helpful, and I doubt it really matters.
>Plus, if you face off against a Pokemon once you'll then be told which of your moves are effective or super effectiveThis fucking meme again. You still have to battle a pokemon first. The text that indicates a move's effectiveness is small, yet people are acting as if a huge, flashing sign appeared on top of the enemy pokemon. Learn to stop being autistic and get over it.
>And finally, the new Rotom Pokedex will give you hints about what to do next. Not bad. It's true that most games are linear but oftentimes you'll have to perform a specific task/talk to a specific NPC and the rest of the NPCs don't tell you where they're located. Places like Lumiose City were clusterfucks that were a pain in the ass to navigate through, so it's nice that Game Freak finally added a feature that's present in every other RPG ever.
Pokemon has always been easy and this new games are no exception. Most of these changes are just for the sake of convenience and not to "casualize" the gameplay.
