The hand-holdingness was bad enough with literally any NPC telling you what to do, and then a second NPC immediately buts in and tells you the same thing with slightly different words. In this instance, they had an NPC say something, and then say the same fucking thing again with different words. I haven't heard people speak English like this outside of 1960s drama.
