>>29092910I wouldn't be mad if there were 80-100 including Alola forms, because they're, in some cases at least, completely new typings, or at least additional typings, with new move pools, fresh new looks and potentially different/better stats. They're distinct enough that they seem like brand new pokemon to me while still having a bit of nostalgic advantage because they're new versions of old favorites.
XY didn't reveal *everything* post release unless I'm misremembering, so it's entirely possible that we'll have a handful of pokemon in the final game that haven't been officially revealed ahead of time, and I'm okay with that. The games come out next month, and there's no way they're going to reveal everything else before then. We still have final form starters, Alolan Persian and Muk, Pikipek's evolutions, potential evolutions for some existing new pokemon, the (unlikely) potential for cross-gen evos, or just brand new pokemon they didn't feel like hyping up pre-release.
Whichever way it goes, Sun/Moon looks amazing and I'm going to love playing them multiple times over, whether that includes another 30 new pokemon or not.
