well level doesn´t matter that much. It comes down how the other levels are. And XY had a slow pacing at first and then rushed.

Well I was wrong on the Kahunas having there own seperate typing or the irl Tomy Z-Ring being tied to the Trial Captain Types lol. But it confirms Hala is a Fighting Type Kahuna and that this chick is supposedly Rock. That makes the type count to 16 so if each one gives you a Z-Crystal than the Poison and Dark you probably get from Team Skull.

And they do, but I don't think it counts towards their pokemon pokemon. It might. Though it's weird cause Hala is a Fighting Master, has Electric/Fairy best buddy legendary. Olivia is a Rock Master, has probably Psychic/Fairy best buddy legendary.

But it will look like a challenge. A Kahuna, which should resemble the elite 4 having only 3 mons is kinda..dissapointing.

Why should a Kahuna, who you face at some point in the middle of the game, have a similar team to an Elite Four, who you face at the end? Seriously, I've been saying over and over that they should be compared to Gym Leaders, and this is all the proof I should need.

I don´t expect level 50 mons, but they should be at least stronger than average gymn leader. Or having more mons, so it looks like they are stronger.

The Kahuna's specialty doesn't seem to be related to their Tapus, seeing how Hala uses an electric Tapu despite being a fighting-type trainer.

Makes sense, the whole Island trials are just suppose to be a coming of age ceremony anyway. Just watch, the whole shit with the Ultra Beasts doesn't come up until after you do the island trials and suddenly the levels of everything jumps up as they start using their serious Pokemon.

I think I had a Machop at that point, but she kept fucking using STOMP and flinching him. Then once he was dead, Rollout got going and steam rolled my team.

Round 2 I leveled up one more time and Machop was faster and Low Kick was a one hit kill.

they changed the formula, this time you do the trials of the island and then the strongest of the island. Elite 4 are also just the strongest of the region and the kahuna are the strongest persons on each of their respected islands.
