I think pokemon in this look badass because they don't need retarded 10 year olds shouting out commands for them to attack. It looks way more natural and animalistic, like two superpowered animals fighting

I didn't watch much from it but from what I saw it was like that. I see people talking about it's good animation and battle direction quite often so I assume it stayed consistently like that.
