The "leaks," as this website likes to call them, were purposely "leaked" to get an understanding of the types of designs the Pokémon fans like in the Pokémon. We, (the Pokémon Company Final Design Team, were surprised by the feedback, and took it into account so that the game would be more "likeable." Some changes we made to the "leaked" information, specifically the starters is a decent design change in Litten's final evolution and minor changes to Popplio's final evolution. Rowlet seemed to be extremely well-recieved, so it pretty much stayed the same.
