Gamefreak did a real good job with this one. They perfectly and uniquely portrayed a mangosteen Pokemon. Bounsweet is nothing but a mangosteen with a face and stubby legs, and it grows up to be a real Queen of Fruits. I really like that.

I was honestly surprised that was the direction they took. I mean a lot of people guessed it thematically (though i never saw exactly what tsareena is with the emphasis on legs for some reason) but I thought it was mostly an English thing that doesn't work in Japanese, but i guess it either does or they were aware of the nickname. So that's neat.

I wouldn't be as mad if Lurantis wasn't ALSO a Physical Oriented Pure Grass mon with Leaf Guard.

That's actually what they're called. Supposedly, it has something to do with how hard they were to get in most parts of the world before airplanes allowed them to be shipped.

Considering that Bounsweet transitioned into such a tomboy before becoming rather haughty, I can only imagine a durian prince becoming quite the stinker as it evolves.

It's funny how Grass-type has become the waifu mon type, even moreso than Fairy.

As someone who's a Grass-fag for non-waifu reasons, it's pretty entertaining that this is what the type has become.

I love how Tsareena's name is a combo of tsarina (female ruler) and mangosteen. Pretty clever.

It has a wide selection of waifumon, but all of those combined don't make up the cult of Garde/Braixen/Loppunny. I think the main reason they're praised as waifus is due to their human characteristics rather than being grass type.

As a non-waifu grass type lover I adore Roserade, Maractus, Lilligant and Tsareena and the rest of their respective lines, because they're all adorable to me. I wish I could grow a grass type Pokemon.
