Nearly 50 years after Team Magma and Team Aqua nearly destroyed the region, a new threat emerges! Calling themselves Team Hope, this fanatic and misguided group is hunting down the legendary Pokemon Jirachi, in order to use its wishgranting powers to create a world free of conflict (unaware of what this entails). The mystical wishgranting faults along the surface of the Pokemon world have only been aligned and powerful enough to carry out such a monumental task for about 10,000 years. To combat this potential tragedy from coming to pass, an organization known as Team Dread is attempting to gather the legendary Pokemon Regirock, Regice, and Registeel to awaken the mover of continents known as Regigigas. They hope that they can use him to disrupt the faults of the Pokemon world enough to deny Team Flare their objective. Unfortunately, the disruption of the continents would cause mass flooding and earthquakes. However, it has seemed thus far that every time either team is nearing the completion of their plans, an otherworldly Pokemon appears and sets them back in the blink of an eye. Both sides have slowly come to realize that the key to the completion of their plans may lie in the power of this Pokemon. It is up to a trainer from Littleroot town to battle his way through the vast land of Hoenn and tridge through the icy heights of Sinnoh in order to bring this conflict to as peaceful a resolution as possible. His only tools being his willpower, the friends he makes along the way, his Pokemon, and either a guardian angel that seems to be watching him curiously from 60 miles above the stratosphere, or a somber watchman sitting the the burning pits of Hoenn's volcanic isles.
