She likes it enough to watch the original series and start playing the games (LG, HG, Platinum so far).

It all happened a few months before Go, so when Go blew up for a couple weeks it solidified her decision to get into it.

She's excited but not as much as I am, but I guess that's to be expected. She told me she'd go pick up the games at midnight though.

I don't have a girlfriend and probably never will, but I can only imagine that my hypothetical girlfriend wouldn't like it and/or would think I'm too old for Pokemon. Almost every girl I know thinks Pokemon is childish. Seems like finding a gf with all the qualities you're looking for including an interest in Pokemon isn't very easy. She'd either be a Pokemon fan but not gf material or the other way around, not both. If anyone has both they should count themselves lucky.

My ex was really big into Pokemon when we first met but started falling out with late Gen 5, didn't finish Kalos, and barely started ORAS. Granted, we weren't together for this full time.

New gf hasn't played since like early Gen 1 but has gotten really excited about Sun and Moon through me. And given her kind of fashion fascination, I feel like some cosplays wouldn't be that hard of a push.

She's a huge Pokénormie.

She still plays Pokémon go, and has almost the whole available dex. She has Fennekin and Eeveelution plushies. She started a mono-Grass run in HeartGold and is stuck on the second Elite Four. She doesn't like any of the new 7th gen Pokémon designs, and doesn't care for much past Hoenn.
