Mons that don't fit their environment have always been a thing; there's no doubt about that. While Bewear definitely doesn't fit in, Pokemon that don't fit in have been such a frequent reoccurring thing that it's not that much of an issue personally. I mean, in the Pokemon world, there are penguins in Japan and pandas in France! And luchadors in Stonehenge in France. And now koalas in Hawaii.
I cannot argue with you about Alola forms; they do seem to be "pandering" to the gen 1 crowd. But I see them more as a "re-imagined" version. As for looking disgusting, well, I guess that's your opinion, and that's ok.
But this last one is something I can't overlook. Proportions are definitely out there, but Pokemon itself was never that realistic, so what gives? Pokemon is changing, just like art. Look at art from the 90s and look at art today. See how different things are? Refer to this relevant poll:
