Yes, a Pokemon that can be 18 different types can be splashed on LITERALLY every team. Sweeper, scarf, band, bulky, late game, pivot, etc for 18 different types.

It comes down to the movepool. If it has a movepool like Arceus, it's guaranteed Ubers by usage. Anything else, and we'll see.

Most manaphy are not on rain teams so Hydration is functionally useless, same with Victory Star. Synchronize for mew is not exactly the best ability either. And who says that Silvally won't get good access to moves given one Normal types have notoriously expansive movepools and two it is based on Arceus who also had a good movepool despite mew's being more expansive.

A Mew without an item or ability that can be any type. If it's anything but Normal it suffers hugely, so its only really great set will be STAB eSpeed, and that will be how people prep to counter. This is assuming it even GETS eSpeed or has 100x6. It's not legendary, and very few non legends hit 600bst. 90x6 or even 80x6 is 100% realistic.

While Silavally will probably be good, I think most of you are sleeping on Type: Null.

It's likely that he's going to be a slower but tankier version of Silvally, plus he's a pre-evo so you can just slap an eviolite on him and be done. It's a chimera, so it will likely have a good and varied movepool. And I guess battle armor pretty decent on tank mons.

Basically like porygon2.

Do you SERIOUSLY think it'll have base 80 or base 90 across the board? I'm exaggerating a little bit those are pretty close to gen 1 shit mon spreads. It's guaranteed to have at least base 100 in everything. I wouldn't be surprised with base 110 actually.

Nobody is gojng to create something to combat a threat and give it the the stat spread of Glalie or Kingdra.

I'm actually expecting something like
90/100/80/90/70/110 = 540 for Silvally
with
70/75/90/60/90/45 = 430 for Type: Null

I came to these because I figure the helmet probably reduces it's abilities overall, but provides something in the way of defense while massively restricting speed, so once it's broken off Silvally will be much faster but a little bit less protected.

What people forget when saying Arceus is absolutely unpredictable and a nightmare to cover is that only an handful of Arceus forms actually have the capability to fuck your shit up if you don't prepare properly(literally just Normal and Ghost). There are another bunch that is good but have a low threat level and are easily covered when preparing for Pokémon of the same type(i.e. if you prepare for Xerneas then you pretty much have Arceus Fairy covered), and then there are the completely garbage and outclassed ones(Fire, Psychic, Bug, Flying, Fighting). Silvally will probably be very similar in this regard, so whether it is banned or not will probably depend from how individually threatening each form is.

Species clause is a thing, so maybe people will want to run it in Ubers. Like how some teams run multiple Arceus forms in AG. But that depends entirely on how good it is.
