I'd prefer new moves based on command grabs that are intended for killing opponents. This game has way too many characters that end up playing similar due to dominant strategy.

2bh I'm was never against Corrin since I like his moveset but if Lucina wasn't in then I'd have no problem with FE representation since she's just a half assed Marth. It makes me wonder why she was even included in the initial roster instead of Roy since he was the original Marth clone.

Not with that attitude. You just need varied grabs with decent hitboxes and good killing power. Sure the game didn't get puppet fighters right, but they can probably pull a grappler off.

Have you ever played Smash before? She's Training Wheels Marth. Marth relies on the sweet spot on the tip of his sword to do his damage and get kills. This requires a lot of spacing and skill. Lucina has equal hitboxes along her entire sword and does not need to space to get the tip. All of her hits are weaker than Marth's sweet spots, but much stronger than his sour spots. You don't have to play her nearly as carefully. This makes her easier to use and therefore makes her better for scrubs, but gives her less potential and depth than Marth for people who are actually good.

Those are half-assed grapplers that aren't centered around grabbing. A grab that had quick startup and a good hitbox that prioritized over basic grabs along with an anti-projectile option would be useful.

Falcon is more of a grappler than Bowser. His dash grab scoots over nearly a third of Final Destination. Combine that with his speed and he has one of the most viable grabs in the game, if not the best.

Trying to space Marth's tip against a human opponent who's trying to stop you from doing exactly that is harder than not giving a fuck with Lucina, fagblaster.

I'll spell this out very plainly. Marth is a better character than Lucina. Lucina is easier to play than Marth. Being easy to play is not the same thing as being a good character.
