Marketing mascot, fan favorite, development team favorite (Masuda in particular likes Psyduck a lot) and also iconic in the anime.

In fact the rarest pokemon I have is my GTS event OT: Jun Psyduck.

i want to know exactly how this design decision was made, because I highly suspect all of the artists just made megas for their favorites.

God i'm somewhat ok with all this gen 1 pandering (even though most gen 1 normies won't come back) But could we atleast give some fan favorites z moves?! Or maybe some fully evolved pokemon?
