Interestingly, the decision go through all that trouble led me to search for a female Chimecho, which took so long that I found that Shuppet in the process. If I had decided to just use Calm Mind or some shit, I might be farther along in the game by now, but I also wouldn't have gotten that Shuppet. Funny how things turn out.
