I hope he has the other starter and Sivally is a different type. Maybe the game can even pick one of your Pokemon at random and have Sivally be strong against it? Or even better, maybe Sivally will be whatever type most of your Pokemon are weak against? Wishful thinking but it would be neat.

Midnight Lycanroc for misunderstood edge. Wimpod evo to show his transformation into a stronger trainer. Salandit evo because he rolls with Team Skull.
