It's not disabled, it's just reserved for items that aren't obtainable in the demo, duh. Not every button has to do something from the start.

this is dumb, but i also agree that it is weird to not only disable 3d but the d-pad as well, is it THAT hard to just make the dpad move the player left right up and down, and just not lock it into grid based movement?

If I'm given the choice I will take the dpad over a stick/circlepad any day.

I don't even play too much console shit because I don't like sticks. wasd/dpad all the way for me.

I'm gentler with my game systems than most people, but my circle pad gradually began fucking up this year. After taking my thumb off the pad, my character would keep moving in the se direction for up to 30 seconds. You don't hVe to be rough with the hardware in order for it to break.

Unless key items are set to D-pad directions, disabling it is completely retarded. It's like how they needlessly killed the Start button.
