idk if it was intentional or not, but i really like the shiny being black, makes me think it was made in a volcanic beach (which is, of course, common in hawaii)

The sand doesn't stick to you like normal sand. It clings to pretty much only itself. It's nifty

When I went it was a beautiful 70 degrees, so it wasn't hot for me.

Also, it's not soft like normal sand. It's like really gritty sandpaper texture. You'd make it a few steps before destroying your feet
